About Me

Hello! My name is Rosemarie Farthing and I’m an Authorised Marriage Celebrant available to help create the wedding ceremony of your dreams. Being a part of some of the most precious moments couples will remember for the rest of their lives is exciting.

When not bringing people together, you will likely find me relaxing at the beach, elbow-deep in the garden, practicing my yoga, or hanging out with my four cats. My deep love for animals prompted me to study Zoology and Botany and why I have been a wildlife rescuer since 1989. It feels like I’ve been a nurse forever (I’m still registered) but my current occupation is as a laboratory technician dealing with plants.

I have a very mixed heritage. I was born in Singapore but raised in Western Australia. My grandmother was fond of calling our family ‘Heinz 57s’ because we have Irish, English, Scottish, Dutch, Indonesian and Japanese in our more recent genealogy.

And I love, love, love traveling. One of my most cherished memories is climbing the Virunga mountain ranges in Uganda to see the gorillas. But now I have a hankering to cruise to Hawaii.
